Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder: Vikram D. Bakhru, M.D., M.B.A.
Our team is lead by former medical school admissions board member, Vikram D. Bakhru, M.D., M.B.A. After completing medical school at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences, Vik pursued a surgical residency in Philadelphia and subsequently obtained his Master's of Business Administration degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Vik has served as an advisor to over 400 students applying to medical school and has reviewed hundreds of medical school applications. Vik's unique perspective on medical school admissions and his own experience as a medical student, interviewer, and admissions board member provide our clients with access to one of the best advisors for medical school admissions in the country.
Chief Financial Officer & Co-Founder: Vikas Gupta
Mr. Vikas Gupta co-founded Application Prep in 2008, with the goal of providing an end-to-end solution in medical school admissions consulting. Vikas has extensive financial and operational experience as a loan officer at Capital Source Bank in Bethesda, MD. Prior to joining Capital Source Bank, Vikas studied business administration at The George Washington University. In his free time, Vikas serves as vice-chairman and treasurer of the Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children, www.fimrc.org.
Chief Strategy Officer – Bryce T. Kennedy, Esq.
Mr. Bryce Kennedy leads our application strategies division and is responsible for monitoring year-over-year trends in the application process. By tracking over 150 different medical schools and their acceptance patterns, Bryce provides our clients with a unique perspective on their own strengths and weaknesses for any given university. Combined with his perspective on interview strategies, Bryce prepares our clients to tackle the most rigorous graduate school admissions process there is.
Bryce studied law at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and clerked with the United States Senate Judiciary Committee as well as the Department of Justice. Before law school he studied International Business and
Marketing at the Pennsylvania State University. Whether preparing Senators to speak in front of the Senate or proofreading extensive trial briefs, Bryce has immersed himself in the science of preparation and presentation.
The Application Prep team includes some of the country's most knowledgeable experts on medical school admissions. As well, our team has extensive experience critiquing application essays, conducting interview preparation, and performing in-depth research to find the best fit between medical schools and our clients.
